Who is responsible for your information?
WeDepart is a trading brand of THE WEGROUP ENTERPRISE LTD, company number 16684390, whose registered office is 114 Welshmans Hill, Sutton Coldfield, England, B73 6RS. For data-protection purposes, that company is the controller of personal information collected directly through this website.
What we collect
WeDepart does not currently create customer accounts or ask for payment-card, passport or traveller-document details. We may process basic technical information generated when the site is used, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps and security logs. If you contact us, we process the details and content you provide. When a clearly labelled tracked link is active, we may receive referral identifiers and aggregated conversion information from the travel provider.
Bespoke holiday requests
When you submit a holiday brief, we collect only the information needed to research and respond: departure and destination preferences, dates, traveller numbers and children’s ages, cabin and accommodation preferences, budget, requested extras, your notes, name, email and an optional telephone number. We do not request card details, passport information or traveller-document scans. If you choose to book, those details are provided only on the secure website of the airline or originating travel provider.
WeUnderstand transfer requests
For WeUnderstand, we collect the minimum information needed to assess a seller’s booking or a buyer’s requirements: booking type, destination, travel dates, party setup, original provider and prices where applicable, transfer deadline, a plain-English summary, name, email and optional telephone number. Do not submit passports, card details, full booking references or booking documents through the public form. Seller contact details are not displayed on a public opportunity.
Why we use it
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
- To answer correspondence and manage provider enquiries.
- To measure referred bookings and reconcile provider-funded commission where a written agreement exists.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our legitimate business interests.
Travel providers and external websites
When you continue to a travel provider, that provider becomes responsible for the information you give it under its own privacy notice. WeDepart does not receive your payment or passport details through the on-site deal-review tool.
Retention, security and international transfers
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, accounting, dispute handling or legal compliance. We use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards. A provider or technology supplier may process information outside the UK; where we control that transfer, we will use an appropriate legal safeguard.
Your rights
Subject to UK data-protection law, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to certain processing, or request portability. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Requests may be emailed to support@wedepart.co.uk or sent in writing to our registered office.
